I have always been interested in commercial real estate. Mainly just the part of helping business owners find the right property and help them get into it by working with the owners etc. What type of education or background is best in order to enter into this market? I would ideally someday like to own my own commercial real estate leasing company

I’ve been a commercial real estate agent for about 4 yrs now, and I still don’t have a steady flow of clientèle. Anyone that’s done brokerage knows that its tough, any specific suggestions would be helpful i.e. cold calling, listings, etc. Not really looking for a pep talk I can stay motivated.

Thanks!

I want to purchase a commercial real estate property, preferably a retail or office property. How do I find a good agent to help me out since I’m a complete novice? Specifically, what are some good screening questions I should ask him/her to make sure they know what they’re doing- beyond just the standard “how long have you been doing this” kind of stuff?

At first i was thinking of becoming a residential real estate agent but then, someone told me about commercial real estate and i was wondering would that be a better career choice and does it work the same as residential. If so, that would be major commision on a $40 million building and that would be a better route i would love to take.
